Founding Board

What You'll Do

As a member of Tridah's founding board, you'll help guide the early development of the organization's structure, values, and long-term strategy.

Duties include:

  • Attending quarterly virtual board meetings (approx. 1–2 hours each)
  • Reviewing and approving bylaws, policies, and initial programs
  • Providing general guidance on organizational direction
  • Upholding our mission and ensuring compliance with nonprofit best practices

At this early stage, this is a light commitment — perfect for professionals, educators, developers, or community leaders who want to lend their expertise to a growing nonprofit.

Who We're Looking For

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds who share our belief in open access, education, and digital equity.

Ideal candidates may have experience or interest in:

  • Nonprofit governance or community organizations
  • Technology, open-source software, or education
  • Finance, law, or project management (helpful but not required)
  • A passion for helping others through accessible digital tools

No prior board experience is necessary — just a willingness to learn and contribute to a collaborative, transparent mission.

Time Commitment

Approx. 2–4 hours per month, including:

  • Quarterly virtual meetings (1–2 hours each)
  • Reviewing occasional documents or proposals between meetings
  • Participating in early organizational development discussions (as needed)

As a founding board, time commitments may vary slightly during the startup phase as we finalize bylaws, policies, and early programs. Flexibility and open communication are key — we'll always respect your time.

Location

Remote – applicants may reside anywhere, though Tridah is incorporated in North Carolina (U.S.).

Who We're Looking For

Required skills:

  • PHP: Server-side development and object-oriented programming

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Git and GitHub
  • Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG)
  • Experience with responsive design principles
  • Understanding of security best practices

Time Commitment

5-15 hours per month, flexible scheduling. You can contribute as much or as little as your schedule allows.
